Bell’s inequality and entanglement in qubits

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We propose an alternative evaluation of quantum entanglement by measuring the maximum violation of the Bell’s inequality without information of the reduced density matrix of a system. This proposal is demonstrated by bridging the maximum violation of the

Interferometric schemes: a probe for topological edge states, a tool in weak measurements [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In the first part of this thesis we propose interferometric schemes to probe the properties of edge states of topological insulators and superconductors.

Higher-order topological matter and fractional chiral states

open access: yesThe European Physical Journal Plus, 2022
We develop a chiral anomalous fermion hamiltonian proposal to study the higher order topological (HOT) phase with chiral symmetry $\mathcal{C}$ fractionalized like $\mathcal{C}_{x}\mathcal{C}_{y}\mathcal{C}_{z}$. First, we solve the $\mathcal{C}$-chiral symmetry constraint for eight band models and describe those induced by the partial $\mathcal{C}_{i}$

Vacancy-induced bound states in topological insulators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We present an exact solution of a modified Dirac equation for topological insulator in the presence of a hole or vacancy to demonstrate that vacancies can induce bound states in the band gap of topological insulators.

Entanglement entropy, quantum fluctuations, and thermal entropy in topological phases

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
Entanglement entropy in topologically ordered matter phases has been computed extensively using various methods. In this paper, we study the entanglement entropy of topological phases in two-spaces from a new perspective — the perspective of ...

Principles of topology in understanding and development of topological states of matter [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Physics Research, 2020

Extended dynamical symmetries of Landau levels in higher dimensions

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
Continuum models for time-reversal (TR) invariant topological insulators (Tis) in d ≥ 3 dimensions are provided by harmonic oscillators coupled to certain SO(d) gauge fields.

Topological states of matter in two-dimensional fermionic systems

open access: yes, 2012
Topological states of matter in two-dimensional systems are characterised by the different properties of the edges and the bulk of the system: The edges conduct electrical current while the bulk is insulating. The first well-known example is the quantum Hall effect, which is induced by a perpendicular magnetic field that generates chiral edge channels ...

Fermion condensation and gapped domain walls in topological orders

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We study fermion condensation in bosonic topological orders in two spatial dimensions. Fermion condensation may be realized as gapped domain walls between bosonic and fermionic topological orders, which may be thought of as real-space phase transitions ...
