Tilings in topological spaces

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1999
A tiling of a topological space X is a covering of X by sets (called tiles) which are the closures of their pairwise-disjoint interiors. Tilings of ℝ2 have received considerable attention (see [2] for a wealth of interesting examples and results as well ...

Volume and topological invariants of quantum many-body systems

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2020
Quantum many-body systems described by Lagrangian path integrals can realize many different topological phases of matter. One of the most important problems in condensed-matter physics is to extract topological invariants from the Lagrangian and to ...

Optimizing Metamaterial Inverse Design with 3D Conditional Diffusion Model and Data Augmentation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A generative AI model, the 3D conditional diffusion model (3D‐CDM), is introduced to enhance the inverse design of voxel‐based metamaterials. A data augmentation technique based on topological perturbation expands the dataset, further improving generation quality and accuracy.

Duality of $κ$-normed topological vector spaces and their applications [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2001
A duality of $\kappa$-normed topological vector spaces is defined and investigated. For such spaces the analog of the Mackey-Arens theorem is proved. There are investigated cases, when $\kappa$-normability of a topological vector space implies its local convexity.

Enabling low Threshold Laser Through an Asymmetric Tetramer Metasurface Harnessing Polarization‐Independent Quasi‐BICs

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Light impinging from the left on a metasurface composed by active material. The metasurface shows asymmetric configuration through the non‐uniform presence of holes. The forming quasi‐BICs modes are exploited for lasing purposes. Abstract It is proposed and numerically demonstrated a novel strategy to achieve lasing generation from a dual‐band symmetry‐

Motion planning algorithms, topological properties and affine approximation

open access: yesBulletin of Computational Applied Mathematics, 2015
The topological study of the so-called "motion planning algorithms" emerged in the 2003-2004 with the works of M. Farber. We focus here on the topological study of the set of these algorithms, when the configuration space is a normed vector space.

High‐Fidelity Information Transmission Through the Turbulent Atmosphere Utilizing Partially Coherent Cylindrical Vector Beams

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
A novel free‐space optical communication protocol that combines the benefits of partially coherent light sources with the decoding capabilities of convolutional neural networks is proposed. This approach establishes a robust communication link that can withstand atmospheric turbulence.

Weak fuzzy topology on fuzzy topological vector spaces [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
In this paper, we introduce the concept of weak fuzzy linear topology on a fuzzy topological vector space as a generalization of usual weak topology. We prove that this topology consists of all weakly lower semi-continuous fuzzy sets on a given vector space when K (R or C) considered with its usual fuzzy topology.

Extraction of Inherent Amplitude Mode from a Light Beam

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
Mode extraction is the inverse process of the double‐beam superposition principle in classical optics. While polarization mode extraction has been successfully demonstrated using an m‐order vector vortex beam, this article demonstrates the amplitude mode extraction of a light beam.
