Toric intraocular lens: A literature review
Abstract Toric intraocular lenses (IOLs) are universally recommended in cataract cases with preoperative corneal astigmatism ≥1.5 D. An optimal surgical outcome depends on careful patient selection, complete preoperative evaluation, accurate IOL power calculation, precise marking of the axis, meticulous intraoperative approach, and methodical

Rotational stability of modified toric intraocular lens
We evaluated the rotational stability of a new toric intraocular lens (IOL), HOYA XY-1 toric IOL that is an improved version of HOYA 355 toric IOL, with longer overall length (13.0 mm vs. 12.5 mm), shortened unfolding time, and texture processing of the surface of haptics.

Toric intraocular lens implantation – atypical cases
Objective: To describe the results of toric intraocular lens (IOL) implantation in three atypical cases (four eyes) with cataract and corneal astigmatism: one with bilateral keratoconus, one with pellucid marginal degeneration and one with buphthalmos due to congenital glaucoma.

Toric intraocular lens implantation in cataract patients with corneal opacity
Background To evaluate the effect of toric intraocular lens implantation in cataract patient with corneal opacity and high astigmatism. Methods Thirty-one eyes of 31 patients who underwent cataract surgery with toric intraocular lens implantation were ...

Uso de lentes intraoculares tóricas no tratamento cirúrgico de astigmatismo [PDF]
Correction of corneal astigmatism is a key element of cataract surgery, since post-surgical residual astigmatism can compromise the patient's uncorrected visual acuity.

Mesonic Chiral Rings in Calabi-Yau Cones from Field Theory [PDF]
We study the half-BPS mesonic chiral ring of the N=1 superconformal quiver theories arising from N D3-branes stacked at Y^pq and L^abc Calabi-Yau conical singularities. We map each gauge invariant operator represented on the quiver as an irreducible loop

The Sasaki Join, Hamiltonian 2-forms, and Constant Scalar Curvature [PDF]
We describe a general procedure for constructing new Sasaki metrics of constant scalar curvature from old ones. Explicitly, we begin with a regular Sasaki metric of constant scalar curvature on a 2n+1-dimensional compact manifold M and construct a ...

Toric implantable collamer lens for keratoconus
Keratoconus is a progressive non-inflammatory thinning of the cornea that induces myopia and irregular astigmatism and decreases the quality of vision due to monocular diplopia, halos, or ghost images. Keratoconus patients unfit for corneal procedures and intolerant to refractive correction by spectacles or contact lenses have been implanted toric ...
