Elastic ice shells of synchronous moons: Implications for cracks on Europa and non-synchronous rotation of Titan

open access: yes, 2010
A number of synchronous moons are thought to harbor water oceans beneath their outer ice shells. A subsurface ocean frictionally decouples the shell from the interior.

Neuromuscular efficiency of knee stability after anterior cruciate ligament injury in indian endurance athletes

open access: yesArchives of Medicine and Health Sciences, 2020
Background and Aim: Knee muscle strength deficit occurs after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. For testing, isokinetic dynamometer was used to evaluate agonist and antagonist muscles strength, and it provides a certain magnitude of torque ...

Multimaterial Approach to Improve the Mechanical Properties of a Novel Modified Auxetic Reentrant Honeycomb Structure

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A multimaterial approach is introduced to improve upon auxetic structures by combining two different polymers into the same reentrant honeycomb structure via additive manufacturing. The deformation behavior as well as the resulting Poisson's ratio are thereby improved significantly.

Recent developments in planet migration theory

open access: yes, 2012
Planetary migration is the process by which a forming planet undergoes a drift of its semi-major axis caused by the tidal interaction with its parent protoplanetary disc.

Poly(1,4‐anthraquinone) as an Organic Electrode Material: Interplay of the Electronic and Structural Properties due to the Unusual Lone‐Pair‐π Conjugation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 12, March 18, 2025.
In this study, the unique role of the unusual lone‐pair‐π conjugation mechanism in poly(1,4‐anthraquinone) (P14AQ) is explored as an organic electrode material. Unlike traditional π‐π interactions, P14AQ's conjugation involves lone pairs of oxygen atoms interacting with the π cloud of adjacent units, enabling stable charge transport even with minimal π‐

Spin torque control of antiferromagnetic moments in NiO [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
For a long time, there were no efficient ways of controlling antiferromagnets. Quite a strong magnetic field was required to manipulate the magnetic moments because of a high molecular field and a small magnetic susceptibility.

Exploring Dipolar Dynamics and Ionic Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks: Experimental and Theoretical Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.
