Spatiotemporal Torquing of Light

open access: yesCLEO 2024
We show transverse orbital angular momentum can be imparted to light pulses in the spatiotemporal domain for sufficiently fast and spatiotemporally overlapped transient perturbations and/or the removal of energy from a pulse having spatiotemporal phase.

Wearable Haptic Feedback Interfaces for Augmenting Human Touch

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The wearable haptic feedback interfaces enhance user experience in gaming, social media, biomedical instrumentation, and robotics by generating tactile sensations. This review discusses and categorizes current haptic feedback interfaces into force, thermal, and electrotactile stimulation‐based haptic feedback interfaces, elucidating their current ...

Periodontal health in children with diabetes mellitus type 1 in Montenegro [PDF]

open access: yesStomatološki glasnik Srbije, 2018
Introduction Separation of instruments in the root canal is one of the challenges in endodontic treatment. More specifically, nickel-titanium (NiTi) rotary instruments usually separate without previous deformation.

3D (Bio) Printing Combined Fiber Fabrication Methods for Tissue Engineering Applications: Possibilities and Limitations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

From Low Symmetry to High Dissymmetry: Chiral Plasmonic Films of Binary and Nanobipyramid Assemblies

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work develops highly dissymmetric chiral plasmonic thin films by helically assembling gold nano bipyramids within a liquid‐crystal template. Engineering of the chiroptical response is achieved by varying particle size and geometry, as well as preparing binary assemblies.

Fractional Skyrmion Tubes in Chiral‐Interfaced 3D Magnetic Nanowires

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In chiral 3D helical magnetic nanowires, the coupling between the geometric and magnetic chirality provides a way to create topological spin states like vortex tubes. Here, it is demonstrated how the breaking of this coupling in interfaced 3D nanowires of opposite chirality leads to even more complex topological spin states, such as fractional ...

Enhancing CoFe Catalysts with V2CTX MXene‐Derived Materials for Anion Exchange Membrane Electrolyzers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
MXene dervied CoFe composites show increased initial Oxygen Evolution Reaction (OER) activity compared to the pure CoFe and MXene in an Anion Exchange Membrane device. Vanadium vacancies in the MXene plays a role in increased OER activity and hinders Fe leaching in the AEM device over using the pure V2C MXene as a support material for the CoFe ...
