Functional Implications of Impaired Control of Submaximal Hip Flexion Following Stroke [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Introduction: We quantified sub-maximal torque regulation during low to moderate intensity isometric hip flexion contractions in individuals with stroke and the associations with leg function.

Advanced Torque Control

open access: yes, 2008
In the chapter we discussed a control approach for torque control of gasoline engines. Because of several actuating variables and control requirements the process to be controlled is multivariable. The actuating variables are usually bounded and the effects on the engine torque are nonlinear.

Impact of Sustainable Binders Based on Lignin and Collagen on the Volume Stability and Mechanical Properties of MgO‐C Refractories with MgO‐C Recyclates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Collagen hydrolysate is evaluated as a sustainable binder for MgO‐C refractories. Its thermally induced cross‐linking and gas release lead to expansion and cracking in large bricks, but tailored batches with lignin, recyclates, or fine graphite improve the gas release while thermal treatment and stability.

Study on torque algorithm of switched reluctance motor

open access: yesJournal of Hebei University of Science and Technology, 2016
To solve the torque ripple problem of switched reluctance motor under the traditional control method, a direct torque control method for switched reluctance motor is proposed.

Electric-field control of spin-orbit torque in a magnetically doped topological insulator

open access: yes, 2015
Electric-field manipulation of magnetic order has proved of both fundamental and technological importance in spintronic devices. So far, electric-field control of ferromagnetism, magnetization and magnetic anisotropy has been explored in various magnetic

Torque control of electrorheological fluidic actuators [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 2004 American Control Conference, 2004
In this paper, the experimental closed loop torque control of electro-rheological fluids (ERF) based actuators for haptic applications is performed. ERFs are liquids that respond mechanically to electric fields by changing their properties, such as viscosity and shear stress, electroactively.

Affecting the Properties of Copper–Graphene Electroconductive Composite by Severe Plastic Deformation

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Copper‐based composites enhanced with carbon feature convenient mechanical properties and favorable electric conductivity. Processing via deformation and thermomechanical treatments can introduce advantageous microstructures further enhancing their performance. Herein, copper–graphene powder‐based composites are directly consolidated via rotary swaging
