An experimental investigation of the aerodynamic characteristics of slanted base ogive cylinders using magnetic suspension technology [PDF]
An experimental investigation is reported on slanted base ogive cylinders at zero incidence. The Mach number range is 0.05 to 0.3. All flow disturbances associated with wind tunnel supports are eliminated in this investigation by magnetically suspending ...

Acoustic driving of rotor [PDF]
Sound waves are utilized to apply torque to a body in an enclosure of square cross section, by driving two transducers located on perpendicular walls of an enclosure, at the same frequency but at a predetermined phase difference such as 90 degrees.

Worm‐Inspired Soft Robots With Modular Outfit‐Changing for Intelligent Multienvironment Adaptation
This study proposes a worm‐inspired soft robot capable of locomotion across multiple environments through a modular “outfit‐changing” strategy. The robot integrates pneumatically actuated peristaltic segments with interchangeable external modules, enabling efficient motion on ground surfaces, within pipelines, through granular media, and underwater ...

Deep Learning Methods for Assessing Time‐Variant Nonlinear Signatures in Clutter Echoes
Motion classification from biosonar echoes in clutter presents a fundamental challenge: extracting structured information from stochastic interference. Deep learning successfully discriminates object speed and direction from bat‐inspired signals, achieving 97% accuracy with frequency‐modulated calls but only 48% with constant‐frequency tones. This work

Acoustofluidic Patterning for Improved Microtissue Histology
Microtissue histology is widely used to characterize microtissue phenotype and morphology. However, conventional microtissue histology workflows are inefficient and time‐consuming. This work introduces a novel embedding technique that uses acoustofluidics to improve the efficiency of microtissue histology and reduce the time required for data analysis.
