Doxorubicin, DNA torsion, and chromatin dynamics
Doxorubicin is one of the most important anti-cancer chemotherapeutic drugs, being widely used for the treatment of solid tumors and acute leukemias. The action of doxorubicin and other anthracycline drugs has been intensively investigated during the ...

Design and Analysis of Compression–Torsion Coupling Metamaterials Using the Golden Section Method
A novel compression–torsion metamaterial is engineered using inclined rods and symmetry breaking. To optimize its torsional performance, the golden section method is employed. The mechanical response of the metamaterial is validated through both numerical analysis and experimental validation.

Driving Torsion Scans with Wavefront Propagation
The parameterization of torsional / dihedral angle potential energy terms is a crucial part of developing molecular mechanics force fields.Quantum mechanical (QM) methods are often used to provide samples of the potential energy surface (PES) for fitting

The Dade group of a metacyclic $p$-group. [PDF]
The Dade group $D(P)$ of a finite $p$-group $P$, formed by equivalence classes of endo-permutation modules, is a finitely generated abelian group. Its torsion-free rank equals the number of conjugacy classes of non-cyclic subgroups of $P$ and it is ...

Control of Polarization and Polar Helicity in BiFeO3 by Epitaxial Strain and Interfacial Chemistry
In BiFeO3 thin films, the interplay of interfacial chemistry, electrostatics, and epitaxial strain is engineered to stabilize homohelicity in polarization textures at the domain scale. The synergistic use of a Bi2O2‐terminated Aurivillius buffer layer and a highly anisotropic compressive epitaxial strain offers new routes to control the polar‐texture ...

Multiscale experiments and modeling reveal how Ti3C2Tx MXene nanosheets reinforce PVDF nanocomposites. An optimal MXene loading (∼1 wt.%) nearly doubles tensile strength through efficient stress transfer, flake alignment, and crack‐deflection mechanisms, transforming ductile polymer behavior into a controlled multi‐stage fracture pathway which aligns ...

Length Minimization For Space Curves Under Nonholonomic Constraints: The Constant Torsion Case
. The Griffiths formalism is applied to find constant torsion curves which are extremal for arclength with respect to variations preserving torsion, fixing the endpoints and the binormals at the endpoints. The critical curves are elastic rods of constant
