AbstractThis article provides an overview of symptomatic torsional deformities of the lower extremity, and operative treatment techniques are described in detail. A definition of torsion versus rotation as well as information to physical examination and the relevance of radiological evaluation is given.

This review provides timely information concerning clinical, surgical, and pathologic findings of adnexal torsion (AT). AT mostly occurs in the child-bearing age group, but is not uncommon in premenarchal girls or postmenopausal women. When AT is suspected, urgent surgical intervention is indicated, and is usually performed by laparoscopy. Incidence of

ABSTRACT Gallbladder torsion is a rare cause of acute surgical abdomen. Early recognition and surgical intervention are important for reducing complications and improving postoperative patient outcomes, but standard imaging and laboratory evaluation typically are indistinguishable from those of acute cholecystitis.

A 65-year-old man presented to the emergency department complaining of right lower abdominal pain. Abdominal computed tomography showed a whirling pattern of fatty streaks and vessels in the greater omentum. From this typical finding, a diagnosis of omental torsion was made immediately, which was confirmed by subsequent surgery.

An attempt is made to introduce dipole structure into gravitational theory. We do this by trying to produce torsion tensors with the same form as the electric-field tensor for an electric dipole. First, we construct Ricci tensors for space-times with vanishing Christoffel connections. Then we discuss the conditions to put on the tensors.

Ovarian torsion is a rare problem in the pediatric age group that must be included in the differential diagnosis of any girl with abdominal pain or a pelvic or abdominal mass. Clinical presentation is nonspecific, and diagnosis is based on a high index of suspicion.
