22 cases operated on for testicular torsion at Gentofte Hospital Surgical Department H are reported. The material is devided into two maingroups, i.e. 11 cases in whom the testes seemed to be saved by the operation and 11 cases in whom hemicastration had to be done.

Ovarian torsion in pediatric and adolescent patients: A systematic review.
Journal of Pediatric Surgery, 2017OBJECTIVE Ovarian torsion in pediatric patients is a rare event and is primarily managed by pediatric general surgeons. Torsion can be treated with detorsion of the ovary or oopherectomy.

A longitudinal study evaluating the degree of rotation of the bimalleolar axis of tibia and fibula at birth, 6 month, 12 months and 24 months revealed a gradual statistically significant external rotation from a mean of 4 degrees at birth to a mean of 11 degrees at 24 months. There was no correlation with the sex or race of the child or with the age at

A 77-year-old Japanese woman with torsion of the gallbladder was surgically treated. Perhaps because of its rarity, the diagnosis is seldom made clinically, the condition generally being recognized only at laparotomy. Discussed herein are the possibility of preoperative diagnosis of this condition and the usefulness of ultrasonotomography.

Diagnosis of Ovarian Torsion: Is It Time to Forget About Doppler?
Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Canada, 2018OBJECTIVE Accuracy of ultrasound in diagnosis of ovarian torsion remains controversial, with some studies reporting correct diagnosis in only 23% to 66% of cases.

ABSTRACT Gallbladder torsion is a rare cause of acute surgical abdomen. Early recognition and surgical intervention are important for reducing complications and improving postoperative patient outcomes, but standard imaging and laboratory evaluation typically are indistinguishable from those of acute cholecystitis.

An attempt is made to introduce dipole structure into gravitational theory. We do this by trying to produce torsion tensors with the same form as the electric-field tensor for an electric dipole. First, we construct Ricci tensors for space-times with vanishing Christoffel connections. Then we discuss the conditions to put on the tensors.

TORSION of the gallbladder is an acute abdominal emergency, which is seldom diagnosed before operation, and, if it is not treated promptly it will most likely result in death. Since the relaxed tissues of the aged are conducive to development of this condition and because population age is on the increase, more frequent occurrence of torsion of the ...
