Bio‐Inspired Gradient Heterogeneous Architectures for Ultrasensitive and Robust Strain Sensors via Programmable Crack Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inspired by the insect campaniform sensillum, a heterogeneous bilayer strain sensor is developed based on a unique impedance mismatch and three‐dimensional structural dynamic percolation strategy. The sensor enables real‐time multi‐joint teleoperation of three joints and the gripper using a six‐degree‐of‐freedom robotic‐arm platform.

Investigation of Torsional Oscillations in Railway Vehicles

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2016
The development of semiconductor electro-technics during last decades allowed us to produce railway vehicles with very high tractive power. High performances reveal new problems that were unknown until these days.

Modal analysis, control of frequency, and torsional modes of microgrid with doubly fed induction generator wind turbines providing frequency support

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation, 2023
Load changes in a microgrid comprising diesel generators and wind turbines cause oscillations in system frequency. In this paper, an analytical model that takes wind generator speed deviation into account is proposed to evaluate the oscillation frequency

Critical Torsional Oscillations of a Rotating Accerated shaft [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 1932
We assume that the forces applied to the shaft have a variable part which is a moment of constant amplitude M(x) per unit length, distributed along the shaft, and varying with a frequency proportional to the angular velocity. From the solution corresponding to the harmonic steady state vibration, we deduce, by using Heaviside's expansion, the ...

Damping Torsional Torques in Turbine-Generator Shaft by Novel PSS Based on Genetic Algorithm and Fuzzy Logic [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Intelligent Procedures in Electrical Technology, 2010
Torsional torques on turbine-generator shaft which are yields of disturbances in power systems, can reduce the useful lifetime of shaft. In this paper, these oscillations will be damped and controlled by novel Power System Stabilizers (PSSs). Complex PSS

Influence of aerostatic force on measuring the aerodynamic moment during the torsional oscillation of a linear blade cascade [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences
An improved method of measuring unsteady aerodynamic moments at torsional oscillations of flexibly mounted blades in a linear cascade is presented. Specifically, a systematic error was found in measuring the real part of the unsteady aerodynamic moment ...

A Novel Parameter Estimation Method for Pneumatic Soft Hand Control Applying Logarithmic Decrement for Pseudo‐Rigid Body Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2025.
In this research, a paradigm of parameter estimation method for pneumatic soft hand control is proposed. The method includes the following: 1) sampling harmonic damping waves, 2) applying pseudo‐rigid body modeling and the logarithmic decrement method, and 3) deriving position and force control.
