Torsional vibration of acrolein
Transactions of the Faraday Society, 1966The sub-bands of the torsional vibration of acrolein have been resolved. The marked degradation indicates a change of about 2.7% in the rotational constant A in the first torsionally excited state. This results in the R branch being much more intense than the P branch.

Torsional Vibration Protection System
Volume 6: Structures and Dynamics, Parts A and B, 2011The increasing use of variable frequency drives (VFDs) and island mode power generation due to remotely located sites make these Oil and Gas industry plants vulnerable to sub-synchronous torsional interactions. These interactions can occur with synchronous generators supplying island-like power systems with large VFDs, but also in synchronous motor ...

Effect of advanced injection angle on diesel engine shaft torsional vibration
, 2020In this article, a coupling model of shafting torsional vibration with advanced injection angle is proposed to study the effect of advanced injection angle on shaft torsional vibration.

Torsional vibration damper assembly
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1982A torsional vibration damping assembly including plates (14,16,18) between which is interposed friction material (30). The plates are held in an assembly and limited against motion by unthreaded reaction pins (38) supported at both ends. The friction material (30) is located radially outwardly of the usual spring assemblies (28) to increase the moment ...

IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2019
In this paper, a system for the measurement of the instantaneous speed of rotating parts in turbines is proposed and modeled. The system is based on traditional and widely used variable reluctance sensors often mounted on-board for other purposes.

Rock breaking mechanism in percussive drilling with the effect of high frequency torsional vibration
Energy Sources, Part A: Recovery, Utilization, and Environmental Effects, 2019High-frequency torsional vibration percussive drilling is considered a promising approach to improve drilling performance in deep hard formations, so studying its rock breaking mechanism and effect is the essential and basic issue.

A torsional vibrations problem
Electrical Engineering, 1958TORSIONAL vibration studies of simple mechanical systems are usually handled by methods which, while not difficult, often require the expenditure of considerable time when done by hand. The use of a digital computer shortens the time considerably. One method frequently used is the Holzer table calculations resulting in the determination of the natural ...
