Nitrogen–boron–nitrogen (NBN)‐substituted molecular propellers are presented as structural framework for aggregation induced emission (AIE) applications. Steric hindrance is revealed to steer maximum‐AIE behavior, leading to refined control over assembly‐induced luminescence.

Modal analysis of multistage gear systems coupled with gearbox vibrations [PDF]
An analytical procedure to simulate vibrations in gear transmission systems is presented. This procedure couples the dynamics of the rotor-bearing gear system with the vibration in the gear box structure. The model synthesis method is used in solving the

Raman modes of the deformed single-wall carbon nanotubes
With the empirical bond polarizability model, the nonresonant Raman spectra of the chiral and achiral single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) under uniaxial and torsional strains have been systematically studied by \textit{ab initio} method.

Staggered, square, and heavily bent dimers occur in the five known solvatomorphs of paddlewheel (PW) complex [PtVO(SOCPh)4]. These and other structural motifs are well within energetic reach due to the shallow potential energy surface that guides dimerization and are included in a revised classification of available structural data on heterobimetallic ...

Sensitivity analysis of torsional vibration characteristics of helicopter rotor blades. Part 1: Structural dynamics analysis [PDF]
A theoretical investigation of structural vibration characteristics of rotor blades was carried out. Coupled equations of motion for flapwise bending and torsion were formulated for rotor blades with noncollinear elastic and mass axes. The finite element

Energy Landscapes in Chemical Reactions and Transport
Kinetics/dynamics of chemical reactivity and transport of chemical species in a solid are both determined by the energy landscape in which they take place. Discussing common grounds but also distinct differences may help in advancing the understanding in both fields.
