Optically Selective Photomask Based on Field‐Induced Periodic Defect Arrays in Ferroelectric Nematics

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Field‐induced periodic defect patterns in the ferroelectric nematic liquid crystal phase act as optically selective photomasks. Created in the liquid crystal cells with bare electrodes, their periodicity is controlled by the applied frequency and cell gap. When used as photomasks, these patterns modulate transmitted light, whose spatial characteristics

Non, non, non ! Le Combat tory d’Enoch Powell contre les réformes de la Chambre des Lords en 1958 et 1969

open access: yesRevue Française de Civilisation Britannique, 2019
This paper analyses why Enoch Powell opposed the 1958 and 1968-69 reforms of the House of Lords. He started his political career working at the Conservative Research Department that was influenced by the Disraelian legacy, and thus developed a Tory ...

Postoperative Stress Accelerates Atherosclerosis Through Inflammatory Remodeling of the HDL Proteome and Impaired Reverse Cholesterol Transport

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The study shows that noncardiac surgical inflammation rapidly disrupts HDL function and cholesterol efflux in mice and human patients. Impaired reverse cholesterol transport after surgery drives rapid lipid accumulation, NETosis, and apoptosis within atherosclerotic plaques.

Dispositional Immobility: An Analysis of Non-Decisions as Public Policy in Alberta’s City-Regions

open access: yesSocial Sciences, 2016
For local governments in city-regions, the term “dispositional immobility” can be applied in situations where the question of municipal restructuring becomes an arena for permanent public policy non-decisions.

A Murine Database of Structural Variants Identifies A Candidate Gene for a Spontaneous Murine Lymphoma Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We analyzed long‐read genomic sequencing data obtained from 40 inbred mouse strains to produce a large database of structural variants. This dataset captures the major types of structural variants, which includes deletions, insertions, duplications, and inversions.

Study of Resistive Switching Dynamics and Memory States Equilibria in Analog Filamentary Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM via Compact Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A physics‐based compact model for Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM, accounting for ion dynamics, electronic conduction, and thermal effects, is presented. Accurate and versatile simulations of analog non‐volatile conductance modulation and memory state stabilization enable reliable circuit‐level studies, advancing the optimization of neuromorphic and ...

Dosing Interval Extension of Dupilumab in CRSwNP: Five‐Year Real World Outcomes

open access: yesInternational Forum of Allergy &Rhinology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) is a persistent, often Type 2‐mediated inflammatory disease that markedly impairs quality of life. While dupilumab provides rapid improvement, there is limited evidence on long‐term outcomes beyond 2 years, and the clinical impact of dosing‐interval extension remains unclear.
