Disordered but rhythmic—the role of intrinsic protein disorder in eukaryotic circadian timing

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Unstructured domains known as intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) are present in nearly every part of the eukaryotic core circadian oscillator. IDRs enable many diverse inter‐ and intramolecular interactions that support clock function. IDR conformations are highly tunable by post‐translational modifications and environmental conditions, which ...

Non-Symmetrical (NS) Reconfiguration Techniques to Enhance Power Generation Capability of Solar PV System

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
At present, primary power generation depends on non-renewable energy resources, which will become extinct. Solar is the best option in renewable energy sources to achieve clean and green power extraction.

Mechanisms of parasite‐mediated disruption of brain vessels

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Parasites can affect the blood vessels of the brain, often causing serious neurological problems. This review explains how different parasites interact with and disrupt these vessels, what this means for brain health, and why these processes matter. Understanding these mechanisms may help us develop better ways to prevent or treat brain infections in ...

Effects of Dynamic Shading on Thermal Exergy and Exergy Efficiency of a Photovoltaic Array [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
In this study, the effects of dynamic shading caused by an incorrectly positioned transformer building in a Photovoltaic array were investigated regarding the exergy efficiency and thermal exergy for a year. Experimental and theoretical results show that

Optimizing Photovoltaic Array Performance Under Partial Shading Using a Golden Ratio-Based Configuration: A Comparative Analysis of 16 Configurational Variants

open access: yesIEEE Access
The growing need for generation of electric power because of increasing energy consumption requires the need of renewable energy sources. Solar photovoltaic (PV) systems are suitable solution to this issue, however its efficiency might decrease under ...

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Beef cattle welfare assessment: use of resource and animal-based indicators, blood parameters and hair 20β-dihydrocortisol

open access: yesItalian Journal of Animal Science, 2020
The present study aims to evaluate beef cattle welfare with an integrated approach as housing conditions and management practices change and to investigate the relationship between the adopted parameters and their applicability.

Power Enhancement in Partial Shaded Photovoltaic System Using Spiral Pattern Array Configuration Scheme

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
Partial shading causes mismatch losses in the solar PV system. In the PV array, the power output from the healthy PV modules is gone in vain due to the mismatch losses.

Detection of circulating tumor DNA in colorectal cancer patients using a methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed a cost‐effective methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex assay containing tissue‐conserved and tumor‐specific methylation markers. The assay can detect circulating tumor DNA with high accuracy in patients with localized and metastatic colorectal cancer.

Mitigation of mismatch losses in solar PV systems: a hybrid L-shaped propagated array configuration approach

open access: yesFrontiers in Energy Research
There has been a global expansion of solar electricity during the past decades. Solar photovoltaic (PV) electricity generation is not only simple but also environmentally benign and cost-effective.
