Arsenic in drinking water, hair, and prevalence of arsenicosis in Perak, Malaysia
Arsenic is a carcinogen element that occurs naturally in our environment. Humans can be exposed to arsenic through ingestion, inhalation, and dermal absorption. However, the most significant exposure pathway is via oral ingestion.

Natural organic matter in sedimentary basins and its relation to arsenic in anoxic ground water: the example of West Bengal and its worldwide implications [PDF]
In order to investigate the mechanism of As release to anoxic ground water in alluvial aquifers, the authors sampled ground waters from 3 piezometer nests, 79 shallow (80 m) wells, in an area 750 m by 450 m, just north of Barasat, near Kolkata (Calcutta),

Measured versus modeled dietary arsenic and relation to urinary arsenic excretion and total exposure [PDF]
Chronic exposure to arsenic (As) in food and water is a significant public health problem. Person-specific aggregate exposure is difficult to collect and modeling based on limited food As residue databases is of uncertain reliability. Two cross-sectional population exposure studies, the National Human Exposure Assessment Survey-Arizona and Arizona ...

Arsenic metabolites in humans after ingestion of wakame seaweed
Seaweed contains large amounts of various arsenic compounds such as arsenosugars (AsSugs), but their relative toxicities have not yet been fully evaluated. A risk evaluation of dietary arsenic would be necessary.

Arsenic exposure and type 2 diabetes: results from the 2007–2009 Canadian Health Measures Survey
Introduction: Inorganic arsenic and its metabolites are considered dangerous to human health. Although several studies have reported associations between low-level arsenic exposure and diabetes mellitus in the United States and Mexico, this association ...

Review of trace toxic elements (Pb, Cd, Hg, As, Sb, Bi, Se, Te) and their deportment in gold processing. Part 1: Mineralogy, aqueous chemistry and toxicity [PDF]
A literature review on the deportment of trace toxic elements (Pb, Cd, Hg, As, Sb, Bi, Se, and Te) in gold processing by cyanidation is presented which compiles the current knowledge in this area and highlights the gaps.

Arsenic-bearing phases in South Andean volcanic ashes: Implications for As mobility in aquatic environments [PDF]
Three samples of volcanic ashes collected after eruptions of the volcanos Hudson in 1991, Chaitén in 2008 and Puyehue in 2011 were analyzed in order to define the solid speciation of arsenic and the dynamics of its release to the aqueous phase.

Total arsenic and inorganic arsenic content in Norwegian fish feed products
Samples of complete feedingstuffs for fish, and fishmeals from the Norwegian Fish Feed Monitoring Programme in 2003 were analysed for their total arsenic and inorganic arsenic contents. Microwave assisted wet digestion with nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide was used for the sample preparation for total arsenic analysis by ICPMS.
