The neutron total cross sections of Be, Na, Mo and Hg have been measured in the energy region 1 eV to 10 keV, and of Th between 1 eV and 1 keV, using the Harwell linear accelerator time-of-flight spectrometer The energy resolution is better than in previously reported work on these elements, and several resonances have been more clearly resolved.
