Total fluorescent scattering cross sections
Physical Review A, 1988The total cross section for fluorescent scattering by a spherical particle uniformly filled with fluorescent scatters is computed using a model for fluorescent scattering formulated earlier. Results are given for an arbitrary incident beam and for a linearly polarized plane wave normalized to the cross section for the same number of scatterers in bulk ...

Total Ionization Cross Sections
1985The measurement of the total ionization cross section, σ t for a gaseous sample requires the determination of four quantities. They are the current i e (T) of a beam of electrons having incident energy T, the total ion current i t (T)produced by the electron beam, the number density ρ of atoms or molecules in the gas, and the collision pathlength L ...

Photon-Nucleus Total Cross Sections
Physical Review, 1969Quantitative predictions for the energy and $A$ dependence of the cross sections for nuclear photoabsorption and inelastic electron-nucleus scattering are given. In general, the nucleons do not contribute equally to the total photon-nucleus cross section when coherent contributions of photoproduced hadrons are taken into account. At low energies (${E}_{

Photon-photon total cross-section
Nuclear Physics B - Proceedings Supplements, 1999We study the total inelastic γγ cross-section and discuss predictions from different models, with a special attention to their dependence on the input parameters. In particular we examine the results from a simple extension of the Regge Pomeron exchange model and those from the eikonalized mini-jet model.

Total atomic photoelectric cross-sections
Il Nuovo Cimento B Series 10, 1969Total atomic photoelectric cross-sections have been obtained by the subtraction technique for the elements Cu, Mo, Ag, Sn, W, Au, Pb and U in the energy region 20 to 1330 keV; and compared with the tabulated theoretical predictions of Schmickley and Pratt. It has been found that, in general, there is satisfactory agreement between the two.

“Total” proton-proton cross sections
Nuclear Physics, 1964Abstract The cross section for the scattering of protons by protons into the angular range of 6° to 84° (laboratory system) has been measured for several proton energies using a “good-geometry” absorption technique. The results are Average energy (MeV) Cross section (mb) 147 23.7±0.1 5 134 24.9±0.2 122 25.9±0.2

Pion-nucleus total cross-sections
2009In this work we present a method for analytically calculating the total cross section of π— nucleus scattering. The momentum space approach is used. An optical potential is obtained using the Kerman-McManus-Thaler(KMT) multiple scattering formalism. Lippmann-Schwinger equation in momentum space is solved by a numerical method.
