Covariance analysis for total neutron cross sections based on a microscopic optical model potential
The deterministic simple least square (LS) approach is employed in the covariance analysis of the total neutron cross section (n,tot) calculated by a microscopic optical potential, CTOM, which is based on a fundamental theory − Dirac Brueckner Hartree ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

On the Electron Impact Integral Cross-Sections for Butanol and Pentanol Isomers
The need for a reliable and comprehensive database of cross-sections for many atomic and molecular species is immense due to its key role in R&D domains such as plasma modelling, bio-chemical processes, medicine and many other natural and technological ...

Q-ball collisions in the MSSM: gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking [PDF]
Collisions of non-topological solitons, Q-balls, are considered in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model where supersymmetry has been broken at a low energy scale via a gauge mediated mechanism.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Using modern multiloop calculation methods, we derive the analytical expressions for the total cross sections of the processes e − γ → e − X X ¯ $$ {e}^{-}X\overline{X} $$ with X = μ, γ or e at arbitrary energies.

Simple function forms and nucleon-nucleus total cross sections
Total cross sections for neutron scattering with energies between 10 and 600 MeV and from nine nuclei spanning the mass range from 6Li to 238U have been analyzed using a simple function of three parameters.

Total neutrino and antineutrino nuclear cross sections around 1 GeV [PDF]
We investigate neutrino-nucleus interactions at energies around 1 GeV. In this regime, the main contributions to the cross sections come from quasi-elastic and $\Delta$ production processes.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
