Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Total cross sections of eγ → eX X ¯ $$ eX\overline{X} $$ processes with X = μ, γ, e via multiloop methods

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
Using modern multiloop calculation methods, we derive the analytical expressions for the total cross sections of the processes e − γ → e − X X ¯ $$ {e}^{-}X\overline{X} $$ with X = μ, γ or e at arbitrary energies.

On the interpretation of the HERA total cross section measurement [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1994
The implications for perturbative QCD minijet calculations of combining the recent HERA measurements of the total γp cross section with the lower energy data are discussed.

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Factorisation of total cross-sections at high energy [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1973
Abstract We show that, within a consistent picture of a Pomeron pole of intercept one which evades the decoupling arguments, total cross-sections should factorise in the energy reǵime where three and more Pomeron cuts are negligible.

Pure spin total cross sections [PDF]

open access: yes, 1978
Measurements of the pure spin total cross sections in the NN system are described. Evidence for a dibaryon resonance interpretation of the structure in the I=1 cross sections at P/sub LAB/ less than or approx. = to 3 GeV/c is discussed.

Theoretical electron impact total cross sections for tetrahydrofuran (C

open access: yes, 2017
We report electron impact total cross sections for tetrahydrofuran (C4H8O) from ionization threshold to 5 keV. We have employed Spherical Complex Optical Potential (SCOP) to calculate total cross sections QT, total inelastic cross sections Qinel and ...

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

The transition to new ozone absorption cross sections for Dobson and Brewer total ozone measurements [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Measurement Techniques
Comparisons between total ozone column (TOC) measurements from ground-based Dobson and Brewer spectrophotometers and from various satellite instruments generally reveal seasonally varying differences of a few percent.

Total and partial photoneutron cross sections for Pb isotopes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Using quasimonochromatic laser-Compton scattering γ rays, total photoneutron cross sections were measured for 206 ,207 ,208Pb near neutron threshold with a high-efficiency 4π neutron detector.
