Total-effect test is superfluous for establishing complementary mediation

Statistica sinica, 2021
Mediation, which in social science literature means that an independent variable Xaffects a dependent variable Y through a mediator M, is a key concept in causal inference.

Environmental regulation effect on green total factor productivity in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.

Journal of Environmental Management, 2022
As a typical watershed ecological economy in China, the Yangtze River Economic Belt has two equally important objectives, namely ecological protection and economic development. Improving green total factor productivity is an essential approach to achieve

Effect of green technology innovation on green total factor productivity in China: Evidence from spatial durbin model analysis

, 2021
Green technology innovation can greatly decline the environmental effects arising from fossil energy consumption. It is an essential way to improve green total factor productivity (GTFP) and achieve China’s goal of sustainable development. In this paper,

The effect of the spatial heterogeneity of human capital structure on regional green total factor productivity

Structural Change and Economic Dynamics, 2021
China’s rapid economic growth has resulted in resource consumption and environmental degradation. Only by improving green total factor productivity (GTFP) can China’s economic growth become stable and sustainable.

EFFECT OF ORPHENADRINE ON TOTAL THYROXINE

Acta Medica Scandinavica, 1974
Abstract. Three clinically euthyroid patients with parkinsonism were found to have raised levels of protein‐bound thyroxine (T4(D)). It was demonstrated that treatment with orphenadrine (Disipal®) caused an elevation of T4(D) up to more than 100%. The increase was dose‐dependent and the underlying mechanism remained unknown.

Regional Synergy and Economic Growth: Evidence from Total Effect and Regional Effect in China

International regional science review, 2019
The synergy between different regions may enable to realize the system optimization of 1 + 1 > 2 and generate new growth potential. However, research on regional synergy and economic growth is very rare.

ON THE NONBOUNDABILITY OF TOTAL EFFECTIVE OPERATORS

Mathematical Logic Quarterly, 1984
The boundability of total effective operators by monotone ones is studied. It is shown that in contrast to general recursive operators [cf. \textit{A. Meyer} and \textit{P. Fischer}: On computational speed-up, Conf. Rec. 9th Ann. IEEE Symp. on Switching and Automata Theory, 351-353 (1968)] total effective operators neither can be bounded by total ...
