Demo 22-11 Critical Angle /Total Internal Reflection
A collimated beam of light originating within a tank of water leaves the water from the top surface, as shown in Figure 1. As the angle at which the light strikes the water surface becomes more oblique, the angle of the refracted ray leaving the water ...

By growing a conformal ZIF‐8 protective layer directly on antibody‐functionalized microneedles, this work converts a fragile biosensing interface into a thermostable diagnostic platform. The MOF@MN patch enables minimally invasive NGAL detection from dermal ISF while supporting cold‐chain‐independent storage and transport for decentralized kidney ...

Hyperbolic polariton-coupled emission optical microscopy
A new type of optical microscopy based on hyperbolic polariton-coupled emission (HPCE) is demonstrated. By employing hyperbolic metamaterials as the substrate, we show a nearly 6-fold increase in fluorescence intensity in the HPCE microscope compared to ...

All‐Amyloid Functional Coacervates
This study introduces an all‐amyloid interfacial complex coacervate technique that employs charge‐mediated or functionalization‐assisted complexation of oppositely charged food protein‐derived amyloid nanofibrils to engineer functional soft constructs across multiple length scales.

Image processing in total internal reflection fluorescence microscopy
The paper presents a method for recording fluorescent images of single molecules using the total internal reflection fluorescence microscopy. This method allows determining the location of a molecule with subdiffraction accuracy and a high signal-to-noise ratio of the detected radiation.
