Anametric Total Knee Arthroplasty
Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, 1979The early experience with the anametric knee prosthesis shows it to be effective in achieving the aims desired in total knee arthroplasty. Decreased pain and improved function have been noted in most patients, with relatively few complications. In osteoarthritics, patellar replacement increases the level of improvement.

Failed Total Knee Arthroplasty
JBJS Reviews, 2014Total knee arthroplasty is one of the most successful interventions for reducing knee pain and for improving function and quality of life. Advances in implant materials and design as well as surgical technique have increased the longevity of prostheses and have decreased the rate of revision surgery to

Total Knee Arthroplasty Kinematics
The Journal of Arthroplasty, 2019Knee kinematics is an analysis of motion pattern that is utilized to assess a comparative, biomechanical performance of healthy nonimplanted knees, injured nonimplanted knees, and various prosthetic knee designs. Unfortunately, a consensus between implanted knee kinematics and outcomes has not been reached.

Hybrid total knee arthroplasty
Archives of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery, 1998A prospective study of a hybrid total knee arthroplasty (TKA) with an uncemented femoral component and cemented tibial and patellar components was performed to combine the advantage of a press-fit femur while avoiding the problems in uncemented tibial and patellar implants.

Polycentric Total Knee Arthroplasty
Southern Medical Journal, 1977Polycentric total knee arthroplasty in 56 patients provided significant relief of pain in 90.7% and a stable knee in 92.7%. Postoperative increase in range of motion averaged 13.7 degrees for all patients (18.5 degrees in rheumatoid arthritis and 8.7 degrees in degenerative arthritis).

Revision Total Knee Arthroplasty
Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, 2008Revision total knee arthroplasty presents numerous technical challenges and decisions for the operating surgeon. Preoperative planning includes critically reviewing radiographs and ordering necessary equipment, including prosthetic components, extraction devices, and bone graft materials.

The Journal of Arthroplasty, 2012
We studied the technical operative features and the subjective outcomes of 63 patients requiring a revision to a total knee arthroplasty (TKA) for failed Oxford medial unicompartmental knee arthroplasty. We compared this revision study group to a contemporary control cohort of 126 patients who underwent primary TKAs.

Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, 1992
Cemented total knee arthroplasty (TKA) has evolved to be the gold standard to which other means of fixation should be compared. Though controversy still exists regarding retention or sacrifice of the posterior cruciate ligament, clinical experience and survivorship analysis supports the use of the posterior stabilized prosthesis.

Knee Instability After Total Knee Arthroplasty
Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, 1994From 1986 to the present, 126 total knee revisions were performed by the authors. Twenty-five cases (20%) were revised for instability of the tibiofemoral articulation. Patellofemoral instability and those patients treated conservatively were excluded from this subset of patients.
