Total airborne mercury and its possible origin
Water, Air, and Soil Pollution, 1982Total airborne Hg as well as black particles (soot) were monitored in a number of clean air areas in Sweden. For some of the sampling sites, back trajectories for air movements at 850 mb were provided by the Norwegian Meteorological Institute. It is shown that the total Hg in air may be divided into two fractions.

The analysis of vegetation for total mercury
Water Air & Soil Pollution, 1991Over four hundred vegetation samples were collected for total Hg determination as part of a biogeochemical survey in the Precambrian Shield region near Huntsville, Ontario. An objective of the survey was to obtain accurate data describing the spatial and temporal variation of Hg concentrations in vegetation.

[Total and methyl mercury contents in arthropods].
Huan jing ke xue= Huanjing kexue, 2008We researched mercury contents in plants and arthropods collected from the river banks in mercury polluted areas. The results show that total mercury (T-Hg) and methyl mercury (Me-Hg) in Locusta migratoria manilensis and Acrida chinensis are 0.032 - 0.402 mg x kg(-1), 0.023 - 0.362 mg x kg(-1) and 0.003 - 0.031 mg x kg(-1), 0.004 - 0.015 mg x kg(-1 ...

[Total mercury levels in certain coastal fish].
Archives de l'Institut Pasteur de Tunis, 1993In this study, we decided to scan some common edible fish species and find out by atomic absorption spectrophotometry their total mercury content, in order to have an idea on their contamination degree and know whether they are edible or can be risky for consumers.
