Takeover Vulnerability and the Discipline of ESG Overinvestment

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, Volume 35, Issue 6, Page 9048-9081, September 2026.
ABSTRACT While takeovers serve a disciplinary role by replacing inefficient managers, the threat of takeovers may compel firms to divert attention from Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) efforts as a strategic response to external pressure, especially when such firms are already overinvesting in ESG.

Bubble‐Mediated Intensification of Biomass‐Based Oil Conversion: Bubble Dynamics, Control Strategies and Equipment

open access: yesCarbon and Hydrogen, Volume 28, Issue 3, Page 320-339, September 2026.
Focus on the bubble interface transfer behavior during the conversion process of biomass‐based oil, and mainly review the bubble dynamic characteristics in the gas‐solid/gas‐liquid reaction processes under extreme conditions during the conversion process.

Water Contact Angle Reveals pH‐Conditioning‐Enabled Single Molecule at a Large Surface Sensing Mechanisms

open access: yesChemistryEurope, Volume 4, Issue 9, September 2026.
A physisorbed anti‐IgG layer is investigated through Water Contact Angle measurements to assess the impact of pH conditioning. The results show that exposure to acidic environments alters surface wettability, with a marked decrease observed upon antigen binding, thus linking conformational rearrangements to single‐molecule sensing.

Enhancing Identifiable Variational Autoencoder in the Presence of Missing Values and Auxiliary Covariates for Spatio‐Temporal Ozone Modeling

open access: yesEnvironmetrics, Volume 37, Issue 6, September 2026.
ABSTRACT The formation of ground‐level ozone follows complex nonlinear photochemical processes that depend on multiple environmental factors and have strong spatio‐temporal structures. Environmental data used to study these dynamics usually originate from multiple sources, including in situ monitoring stations and satellite observations.
