High‐temperature interactions between low‐sulfur Al‐killed Mn–B steel and MgO–C refractories (0 and 50 wt% recyclates) are studied via finger immersion tests (1600 °C). Surface‐active elements influence infiltration. MgO/CaS layer forms, along with spinel and calcium silicate.

Analysis and enlightenment of porosity differences between shale plug samples and crushed samples
Shale porosity is one of the important parameters for shale reservoir quality evaluation and shale gas reserve calculation, so it is very important to accurately measure shale porosity. There are many methods to measure shale porosity.

The thermal diffusivity of MgO‐C refractories is highly sensitive to sample preparation and processing procedures. In this article, the effects of coking sequence, machining conditions, structural inhomogeneity, and graphite coating application on measurements using laser flash apparatus are systematically investigated.

This study investigates the tribological response of 60NiTi alloy under dry, water‐lubricated and high‐temperature conditions. The alloy exhibits decreasing wear volume and friction with increasing temperature due to the formation of protective oxide layers. The work clarifies dominant wear mechanisms and demonstrates the suitability of 60NiTi for high‐

Marble Durability Assessment by Means of Total Optical Porosity and Adjacent Grain Analysis
The presence of pores, cracks and microcracks in marble is one of the main features that govern the processes of decay of this stone material and, although marble is characterised by a modest porosity, there is a clear correlation between the presence and movement of fluids, and the phenomena of alteration. Through the study of porosity, it is possible

Creep experiments at 900°C on coarse‐grained steel‐ceramic composites containing recycled magnesia reveal that higher ceramic volume fractions significantly enhance the creep resistance. Detailed EBSD investigations identify subgrain formation in the steel matrix as the dominant deformation mechanism.

Carbon nanomaterial‐reinforced epoxy composites exhibit pronounced piezoresistive behavior, enabling intrinsic damage sensing under cyclic and fatigue loading. This review critically compares carbon nanotube and graphene systems, correlating filler content, percolation threshold, and gauge factor with sensing stability and damage evolution.

Evaluation of Internal Adaptation and Degree of Porosity of Total Crowns After Cementation
AbstractThe present study evaluated the marginal fit, the internal filling volume and the degree of porosity in cemented metallic total crowns. Then, 12 metal crowns cast in titanium (Ti) were made on bovine teeth with total preparations and 90° shoulder terminal line.

Influence of an Argon/Silane Atmosphere on the Temperature of a Thermal Plasma
The influence of a silane‐doped argon atmosphere on the chemical composition and temperature of a thermal nontransferring argon plasma is investigated using optical emission spectroscopy. As a result of the high amount of free electrons resulting from the stepwise ionization and dissociation of the silane molecule, even a silane addition of 0.01 vol ...
