We extend the notion of total positivity to domains in the complex plane. In doing so, we also give a geometrical interpretation to certain Wronskians of reproducing kernels. The Annals of Statistics, 2017 We discuss properties of distributions that are multivariate totally positive of order two (MTP$_{2}$) related to conditional independence. In particular, we show that any independence model generated by an MTP$_{2}$ distribution is a compositional semigraphoid which is upward-stable and singleton-transitive.

FEBS Letters, EarlyView.A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.
