IF reverses HFD‐induced obesity and insulin resistance by reducing M1 polarization and promoting white adipose tissue browning. IF affects gut homeostasis and bile acid metabolism via expanding the abundance of Verrucomicrobia particularly Akkermansia muciniphila and increasing the proportion of 12α‐OH BAs.
