Implicit total variation diminishing (TVD) schemes for steady-state calculations [PDF]
The application of a new implicit unconditionally stable high-resolution TVD scheme to steady-state calculations is examined. It is a member of a one-parameter family of explicit and implicit second-order accurate schemes developed by the third author [ibid.

A cosmological hydrodynamic code based on the total variation diminishing scheme [PDF]
An explicitly second-order finite difference code based on a total variation diminishing scheme for self-gravitating cosmological hydrodynamic systems is described. The code was developed to follow correctly the adiabatic changes of extremely supersonic preshock flows with a Mach number larger than 100 as well as very strong shocks.

A hybrid numerical scheme for extended Boussinesq equations
To efficiently solve the extended Boussinesq equations,a hybrid finite-difference and finite-volume scheme is developed. The one-dimensional governing equations are kept in conservation form.

A second-order technique is suggested to study fluid motion in a two-dimensional hard-walled duct with two abrupt constrictions. In this technique, the governing relationships are integrated via their rewriting in a non-dimensional form, deriving their ...

Positivity of an explicit Runge–Kutta method
This paper deals with the numerical solution of initial value problems (IVPs), for systems of ordinary differential equations (ODEs), by an explicit fourth-order Runge–Kutta method (we will refer to it as the classical fourth-order method) with special ...

High order TVD scheme for hyperbolic conservation laws [PDF]
In this paper, we introduced a new third order finite difference scheme for solving initial value problems for hyperbolic conservation laws. This method is a finite difference scheme combining a dissipative scheme (diffusion scheme) and a dispersive ...
