Codazzi and totally umbilical hypersurfaces in Sol^4_1

As generalizations of totally geodesic hypersurfaces, parallel and Codazzi hypersurfaces in homogeneous Riemannian spaces represent intriguing topics for differential geometers. It is proven that Codazzi and totally umbilical hypersurfaces - especially totally geodesic hypersurfaces - do not exist in the 4-dimensional model space Sol^4_1.
