Illusory rotation in the haptic perception of a moving bar
Haptic matching of the orientation of bars separated by a horizontal distance leads to large systematic deviations (eg Kappers and Koenderink, 1999 Perception 28 781–795).

Evolution of Physical Intelligence Across Scales
By following the evolution of physical intelligence across scales, this article shows how intelligence arises from materials, structures, physical interactions, and collectives. It establishes physical intelligence as the evolutionary foundation upon which embodied intelligence is built.

A laser pointer‐guided robotic grasping method for arbitrary objects based on promptable segment anything model and force‐closure analysis is presented. Grasp generation methods based on force‐closure analysis can calculate the optimal grasps for objects through their appearances. However, the limited visual perception ability makes robots difficult to

Self‐Sensing Artificial‐Muscle‐Empowered Humanlike Perception, Interaction, and Positioning
The proposed self‐sensorized artificial muscle (SSAM) can sense its length change as small as 0.01 mm via a seamlessly integrated multi‐segment induction coil. The SSAM provides accurate length information regardless of its loadings, driving pressure, or muscle design, adequate for robust data‐driven feedback control.
