THE ROLE OF RELIGIOUS FIGURES IN COMMUNITY RESILIENCE IN DISASTER-PRONE AREAS
Religious leaders in Indonesia are one of the keys to the success of community resilience to disasters, especially in socializing and communicating disaster resilience and giving early warnings appropriately and accurately to the community.

ESTIMATION OF WOOD TOUGHNESS IN BRAZILIAN TROPICAL TREE SPECIES [PDF]
Wood has been used for several purposes such as in civil and rural construction. Knowing wood mechanical behavior under short-term loading is essential for safer structural designs. However, wood toughness is a mechanical property little investigated for

The share of technical thermoplastics is expected to grow further in the e‐mobility segment. In this study, a detailed temperature‐based tribological characterization of technical thermoplastics is performed. The tribological properties are discussed in terms of the dynamic mechanical properties of polymers at different ambient temperatures. A proof of

Toughness and Vertex Degrees [PDF]
AbstractWe study theorems giving sufficient conditions on the vertex degrees of a graph G to guarantee G is t‐tough. We first give a best monotone theorem when , but then show that for any integer , a best monotone theorem for requires at least nonredundant conditions, where grows superpolynomially as .

From Nature to Engineering: Mortar Volume and Interfacial Mechanics in Bioinspired Ceramics
Inspired by natural armors like nacre, this study explores how varying the volume fraction of the soft mortar layer impacts the interfacial strength and toughness of bioinspired ceramics. Experimental and computational analysis reveals that higher mortar volumes increase energy dissipation but reduce interfacial stiffness, offering insights for ...
