Abstract This article examines intranational travel flows in Malaysia. Several parameters of travel patterns are identified and analyzed. This indicates that tourists are concentrated on the West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia, thus reinforcing existing regional inequalities.

A new prediction algorithm of tourists flow based on clustering-based generalized regression neural network (GRNN) is proposed in this paper.
