Molecular Survey of Meat‐Borne Zoonotic Protozoa in Food Animals and Poultry in Bangladesh
Veterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 6, November 2026.Molecular surveillance of 236 meat samples detected T. gondii in 7.0% of goats and 2.08% of chickens; Sarcocystis spp. in 45.9% of cattle, 62.3% of goats, and 4.17% of chickens; and N. caninum in 25.7%, 28.9% and 16.7% of cattle, goat, and chicken samples, respectively. Infection was associated with rearing system, health status and age.

Veterinary Record Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 4, November 2026.Abstract An 8‐year‐old, male, neutered domestic shorthair cat was presented for investigation of a 2‐week history of hyporexia, lethargy and jaundice. Diagnostic investigations revealed hyperbilirubinaemia, increased liver enzyme activity and thickening of the gall bladder wall with a multilayer appearance.
