Targeted Lysosomal Degradation of Extracellular and Membrane Proteins: From Receptor Hijacking to Programmable Endolysosomal Routing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Targeted chimeric degraders engage extracellular or membrane proteins and endocytosable cell‐surface receptors, forming ternary complexes that induce receptor‐mediated internalization. Following endocytosis, post‐endocytic sorting—not internalization alone—determines target fate.

Permanent Oxidative Dipole Engineering in Quinoline COFs for Boosting Exciton Dissociation and Oxygen Activation in H2O2 Photosynthesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Permanent oxidative dipole (POD) engineering overcomes the electronic uniformity of quinoline‐linked COFs. By enhancing the dipole moment to 2.08 D and lowering exciton binding energy to 20.3 meV, it constructs a robust built‐in electric field and spatially decoupled redox centers. This bypasses inherent kinetic bottlenecks, achieving a 4569 µmol g−1 h−

Social inclusion gone wrong: the divisive implementation of the Temporary Protection Directive in Ireland

open access: yesFrontiers in Social Psychology
There were 96,338 Personal Public Service Numbers (PPSNs) given to people from Ukraine who arrived in Ireland under the Temporary Protection Directive (TPD) before October 2023.

A Versatile DNA‐Encoded Library Platform for the Discovery of Highly Cooperative Chemical Inducers of Proximity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present a versatile DNA‐encoded library (DEL) platform designed for rapid library synthesis and subsequent screening for chemical inducers of proximity (CIPs) across various presenter proteins of choice. Applying this approach, we discovered a novel molecular glue‐like compound mediating CRBN‐BRD9 ternary complex formation with remarkable ...

31P Solid‐State NMR‐Enabled Development of a Pt/Aluminum Tripolyphosphate Catalyst for Selective C─O Bond Hydrogenolysis of Phenols

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
31P solid‐state nuclear magnetic resonance analysis revealed the presence of aluminum tripolyphosphate on the surface of a platinum/aluminum condensed phosphate mixture (ACPM) catalyst. This finding led to the development of a Pt/aluminum tripolyphosphate (Pt/ATPP) catalyst for the selective hydrogenolysis of phenols to arenes.

Degrading GPX4 via Biomimetic Nanoparticle‐Mediated In Situ Synthesis of Deep‐Learning‐Designed Binder‐Degron Chimeras for Prostate Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A deep‐learning‐designed binder is fused to a combinatorial degron to create a binder‐degron chimera (bdC) that recruits the CUL2‐RING ubiquitin ligase complex. Encapsulation in a prostate‐cancer‐targeted, CD47‐camouflaged nanocarrier enables tumor‐specific in situ bdC expression, triggering GPX4 degradation and ferroptosis, thereby establishing a ...

Constructing p‐d Orbital Hybridization via In Situ Generation of Bi19Br3S27/NiSx for Highly Selective Photothermal CO2 Reduction to C2H4

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
An in situ crystalline/amorphous Bi19Br3S27/NiSx interface unlocks orbital hybridization‐driven CO2 conversion. Newly formed p‐d coupling reshapes the reaction pathway, promotes C─C coupling, and steers photo‐thermal CO2 reduction toward highly selective C2H4 production.

Trait probability density (TPD): measuring functional diversity across scales based on TPD with R

open access: yes, 2019
Functional diversity (FD) has the potential to address many ecological questions, from impacts of global change on biodiversity to ecological restoration. There are several methods estimating the different components of FD. However, most of these methods

Spin Splitting Coupled Visible‐Light Driven Injection Photocurrent in Bilayer Altermagnets

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Interlayer engineering in bilayer altermagnets continuously tunes visible‐light injection photocurrents, accompanied by controllable altermagnetic spin splitting. Enhanced interlayer hybridization reconstructs the band and quantum geometries, leading to opposite evolution of the normal and magnetic injection currents and establishing a direct ...
