Topohistology of dendritic cells and macrophages in the distal and proximal nodes along the lymph flow from the lung

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, EarlyView.
Proximal node (subcarinal node) from a patient with lower‐lobe lung cancer. The complementary distribution was seen between CD68‐positive macrophages and CD169‐positive cells, and the latter tended to exist with DCsign‐positive cells. The island‐like appearance of the cortex was seen in the nodes.

Comparison of implant placement at crestal and subcrestal levels in aesthetic zone: A finite element analysis

open access: yesJournal of Prosthodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose The success rate of the implant treatment, including aesthetics and long‐term survival, relies heavily on preserving crestal peri‐implant bone, as it determines the stability and long‐term outcomes. This study aimed to demonstrate the stress differences in the crestal bone resulting from dental implant placement at various depths ...

Enhanced cytomegalovirus infection in human trabecular meshwork cells and its implication in glaucoma pathogenesis

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is one of the infectious causes of hypertensive anterior uveitis, which is characterized by recurrent episodes of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) and mild anterior uveitis.

Comparison of stress distribution around splinted and nonsplinted implants with different crown height space in posterior mandible: A finite element analysis study

open access: yesJournal of Prosthodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose The purpose of this finite element analysis (FEA) study was to analyze the stress distribution on prosthetic components of splinted and nonsplinted prostheses, bone, and implants with different crown height space (CHS). Materials and Methods Mandibular posterior segment was modeled with no resorption at the second premolar site and ...

Finite element analysis of primary healing implants with different transmucosal designs

open access: yesJournal of Prosthodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose This study aimed to assess the response of peri‐implant tissues, both hard and soft, to mechanical stress when using a primary healing implant (PHI) with two different transmucosal profiles: concave (Model A) and divergent (Model B). The investigation also sought to observe bone modeling under post‐extraction conditions.

Crosstalk Between Transforming Growth Factor Beta-2 and Toll-Like Receptor 4 in the Trabecular Meshwork

open access: yesInvestigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science, 2017
Purpose The trabecular meshwork (TM) is involved in the outflow of aqueous humor and intraocular pressure (IOP) regulation. Regulation of the extracellular matrix (ECM) by TGFβ2 signaling pathways in the TM has been extensively studied.
