Cesitli sehirlerde oldugu gibi, Trabzon’da da Gazi Mustafa Kemal’e 1931  yilinda bir kosk ile bir ev hediye edildi. Ataturk, sadece 1937’deki ucuncu Trabzon  ziyaretinde iki gun kaldigi kosku begenmis ve kosk icin  “Trabzon Ataturk Kosku”  adini kullanmisti.
