Ankara Üniversitesi Türk İnkılap Tarihi Enstitüsü Atatürk Yolu Dergisi, 2016 Gazi Mustafa Kemal Trabzon’a ilk ziyaretini 1924’te, ikincisini ise 1930’da yapmisti. Cesitli sehirlerde oldugu gibi, Trabzon’da da Gazi Mustafa Kemal’e 1931 yilinda bir kosk ile bir ev hediye edildi. Ataturk, sadece 1937’deki ucuncu Trabzon ziyaretinde iki gun kaldigi kosku begenmis ve kosk icin “Trabzon Ataturk Kosku” adini kullanmisti.

Variations in pollen size, aperture number, and exine ornamentation were identified as key traits, demonstrating their taxonomic value for distinguishing closely related species and subspecies within the genus.
