Traces of permuting \(n\)-additive mappings in \(*\)-prime rings
2020Summary: In this paper, we prove that a nonzero square closed \(*\)-Lie ideal \(U\) of a \(*\)-prime ring \(\mathfrak{R}\) of \(\operatorname{char} \mathfrak{R}\neq (2^n-2)\) is central, if one of the following holds: \textit{(i)} \(\delta (x) \delta (y) \mp x\circ y\in Z (\mathfrak{R})\), \textit{(ii)} \([x,y]-\delta (xy) \delta (yx)\in Z (\mathfrak{R}

1. Let ℳ be an additive category. (We refer to ((1), Ch. IX) for the definition of an additive category and associated terms. In particular a sequenceis exact if i = kerp and p = coker i.) We write End M for Hom(M, M). A trace on ℳ with values in an abelian group G is a collection of (abelian group) homomorphismsone for each M ∈ ℳ, satisfying the ...

Accelerated Nucleation Due to Trace Additives: A Fluctuating Coverage Model
The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2015We develop a theory to account for variable coverage of trace additives that lower the interfacial free energy for nucleation. The free energy landscape is based on classical nucleation theory and a statistical mechanical model for Langmuir adsorption.

Anaerobic digestion of Brewery Spent Grains: Trace elements addition requirement
Bioresource Technology, 2018The current study evaluates and compares the stability of anaerobic digestion of Brewery Spent Grains (BSG) with and without addition of nutrients. Based on the composition of the BSG two levels of nutrients addition were defined. Control reactor, without addition of nutrients, showed signs of instability after 3months of operation and collapsed.

Effect of trace additives on the efficiencyof peroxydisulfate regeneration
Journal of Applied Electrochemistry, 1999Direct chemical oxidation (DCO) is an emerging technology in which the organic components of hazardous or mixed waste streams are mineralized to carbon dioxide by the nearly omnivorous oxidant peroxydisulfate. Following treatment, the expended oxidant may be electrochemically regenerated to lower costs and minimize secondary waste; however, due to the ...

Influence of trace additives on dielectric properties of gas
2010 12th International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment, 2010Corona current is produced by interactions between an inhomogeneous electric field and gas. In this paper, the impact of the field on the gaseous medium is studied by measuring and analyzing voltage-current characteristics in several gas mixtures. As the work requires strict control of the medium, with mixture compositions guaranteed to ∼ 0.1 ppm, the ...

Trace formulas for singular and additive non-selfadjoint perturbations
Mathematical Results in Quantum Mechanics, 2014The paper gives an overview on trace formulas for pairs of self-adjoint, maximal dissipative and other types of resolvent comparable operators. In particular, recent results on trace formulas for singular pairs of resolvent comparable operators are presented. The results improve and generalize certain classical results of M.G.
