Macroplastic Debris Transfer in Rivers: A Travel Distance Approach
Plastic accumulation in the marine environment is a major concern given the harmful effects and longevity of plastics at sea. Although rivers are likely to significantly contribute to the flux of plastic to marine systems, the behaviour of plastic debris

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Gas velocity measuring instrument measures transport time of ion-trace traveling fixed distance between ionization probe and detector probe. Electric field superimposes drift velocity onto flow velocity so travel times can be reduced to minimize ion ...

Existing and emerging technologies for measuring stable isotope labelled retinol in biological samples: isotope dilution analysis of body retinol stores [PDF]
This paper discusses some of the recent improvements in instrumentation used for stable isotope tracer measurements in the context of measuring retinol stores, in vivo.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Dynamical fluctuations of a tracer coupled to active and passive particles
We study the induced dynamics of an inertial tracer particle elastically coupled to passive or active Brownian particles. We integrate out the environment degrees of freedom to obtain the exact effective equation of the tracer—a generalized Langevin ...

A non-parametric method for measuring the local dark matter density [PDF]
We present a new method for determining the local dark matter density using kinematic data for a population of tracer stars. The Jeans equation in the $z$-direction is integrated to yield an equation that gives the velocity dispersion as a function of ...

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Detection technology of micro residual core in small inner cavity of complex castings [PDF]
A new technology for detecting a tiny residual core in the small inner cavity of complex castings is proposed. The residual core is identified by using image recognition technology.

Hybrid tracer - A modified novel extra oral tracer
Gothic arch Tracing has been a common modality in the recording of centric jaw relation. There has been two ways of recording the gothic tracing. They are extra oral and intra oral tracing. Among the extra oral tracers hight tracers are the most used tracers.Intra-oral and extra-oral tracers have a number of individual advantages and limitations.
