Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

A Data-Driven Algorithm for Indoor/Outdoor Detection Based on Connection Traces in a LTE Network
Environmental factors have a strong impact on the satisfaction of mobile users. Thus, estimating the context of a session is key to evaluating the end-user experience in mobile network management. Such a context is mainly defined by user location.

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

The Ruin as Kairos in W. G. Sebald’s The Rings of Saturn
Beyond the obvious semiotic heterogeneity of linguistic signs and visual images, which accounts for the disruptive force of the inserted visual material in Sebald’s novel The Rings of Saturn, the text and image relation in this novel is a particular site

The conjugate trace and trace of a plane partition
AbstractThe conjugate trace and trace of a plane partition are defined, and the generating function for the number of plane partitions π of n with ⩽r rows and largest part ⩽m, with conjugate trace t (or trace t, when m = ∞), is found. Various properties of this generating function are studied.
