Smart Bioinks for 4D Bioprinting: Requirements, Design, and Applications
Smart bioinks empower 4D‐bioprinted constructs to dynamically adapt and remodel in response to stimuli, effectively biomimicking native tissues. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) play a guiding role in their rational design by optimizing relevant properties.

Perioperative and Intensive Care Management of Pediatric Tracheal Tear
Management of tracheal tears can prove to be challenging in the perioperative setting. This is a rare condition that can be life threatening. Here, we present a case of seven-year-old boy involved in a high-speed motor vehicle collision.

Upon cigarette smoke exposure(CSE), LDHA expression is increased in lung macrophages, promoting the conversion of pyruvate to lactate and elevating the lactylation level of SP1 at the K694 site. This, in turn, enhances SP1 enrichment at the TREM1 promoter, increases TREM1 expression, promoted M1 macrophage polarization, and triggers the secretion of ...

LAPTM5 functions as a critical molecular scaffold bridging PGAM5 and VAMP to facilitate PGAM5‐mediated dephosphorylation of VAMP8. This cascade promotes autophagosome‐lysosome fusion, restores impaired autophagic flux, and clears damaged mitochondria, thereby mitigating cellular oxidative stress and systemic inflammation.

Gene therapy of c-myc suppressor FUSE-binding protein-interacting repressor by Sendai virus delivery prevents tracheal stenosis. [PDF]
Acquired tracheal stenosis remains a challenging problem for otolaryngologists. The objective of this study was to determine whether the Sendai virus (SeV)-mediated c-myc suppressor, a far upstream element (FUSE)-binding protein (FBP)-interacting ...

Rethinking brachycephaly: Anatomical implications and health considerations in lagomorphs
Abstract Brachycephaly in domestic rabbits is increasingly perceived by welfare organizations as associated with significant health complications, particularly oral pathologies. Despite this perception, comparative anatomical research into rabbit brachycephaly is limited compared to that of dogs and cats, compelling an in‐depth examination of its ...

Spectral Reflectance as a Unique Tissue Identifier in Healthy Humans and Inhalation Injury Subjects
Tracheal intubation is the preferred method of airway management, a common emergency trauma medicine problem. Currently, methods for confirming tracheal tube placement are lacking, and we propose a novel technology, spectral reflectance, which may be ...
