Tracheal Stenosis

Tracheal stenosis is a narrowing or constriction of the airway which results in abnormal airflow. Patients will normally present with complaints of dyspnea. There can be congenital or acquired pathology leading to tracheal stenosis, but the most common cause is iatrogenic. A through history is important to obtain in order to make the correct diagnosis.

The etiology, diagnosis, and treatment of tracheal stenosis are discussed.
