U jadranskom moru šnjur (Trachurus trachurus L.) i šnjur pučinar (Trachurus mediterraneus Steind.) imaju značajnu ulogu u koćarskom i pelagičkom ulovu. Iako su vrste vrlo rasprostranjene u Jadranskom moru malo se zna o njihovoj ishrani. Cilj rada je istraživanje ishrane u odnosu na dužinu i sezonske promjene u sadržaju želuca.

Starost i rast šnjura (Trachurus trachurus L.) u srednjem Jadranu

Određivanje starosti i rasta predstavlja jedan od glavnih analitičkih modela u istraživanju dinamike populacija riba. Istraženo je ukupno 1030 primjeraka, od čega 433 mužjaka, 374 ženke i 223 spolno nezrela primjerka. Uzorak je sakupljan koćom na postajama u srednjem Jadranu u razdoblju intenzivnog mrijesta.
