Effect of Poor Handling on the Nutritional Composition of Some Imported Frozen Fishes in Nigeria
This study aimed to determine and compare proximate composition of three commonly commercial imported frozen fish species in Nigeria (Scromber scrombrus, Trachurus trachurus and Sardinella aurita) with reference to poor handling and size. Major nutrient

Fish assemblages associated with three types of artificial reefs: density of assemblages and possible impacts on adjacent fish abundance [PDF]
We evaluated the effectiveness of wooden artificial reefs (ARs) as fish habitat. Three types of ARs, made of cedar logs, broadleaf tree logs, and PVC pipes, respectively, were deployed in triplicate at 8-m depth off Maizuru, Kyoto Prefecture, Sea of ...

ABSTRACT Aquatic ecosystems have been in an alarming state of decline for decades. In particular, estuarine ecosystems have experienced long‐term declines in fish diversity due to factors such as habitat degradation, pollution and altered hydrology. Monitoring these systems is often limited by the difficulty and cost of conventional survey methods.

Novel species‐specific eDNA qPCR assay for endangered Hong Kong Grouper (Epinephelus akaara) reveals low shedding rates and rapid decay. Rare, trace detections across Hong Kong waters confirm population rarity, demonstrating eDNA as a powerful non‐invasive tool for monitoring threatened marine fishes. ABSTRACT The Hong Kong Grouper (Epinephelus akaara)
