An ensemble classifier to predict track geometry degradation [PDF]

open access: possibleReliability Engineering & System Safety, 2017
Railway operations are inherently complex and source of several problems. In particular, track geometry defects are one of the leading causes of train accidents in the United States. This paper presents a solution approach which entails the construction of an ensemble classifier to forecast the degradation of track geometry.

Tracking of phenol degrading genotype

Environmental Science and Pollution Research, 2001
A simple and rapid protocol has been developed for monitoring of the phenol degrading population in the environmental samples. PCR protocol uses the total DNA prepared from the samples as a template in the amplification reaction. Primers have been designed from the sequence data for Dmp and Phe operon encoding multi-component and single component ...

Improved Method To Track Chlorophyll Degradation

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2001
An analytical method capable of identifying >30 chlorophyll-related compounds in plant extracts has been developed. The method employs liquid chromatography coupled to UV-vis, MS, and MS/MS detection. It can be applied without modification to analyze natural chlorophyll degradation products and other metalloporphyrines.
