Tracking degradation and pyrolysis of EPDM insulators

IEEE Transactions on Electrical Insulation, 1989
EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer) rubber insulators were subjected to tracking resistance tests. Gases evolved in these tests were collected and analyzed by gas chromatography and Fourier-transform infrared spectrophotometry. Gases obtained by pyrolysis of this rubber compound (at 400, 600, 800, 1000 degrees C) were also collected and analyzed.

A model for graceful degradation of tracking systems

SPIE Proceedings, 2009
Any implementation of a real-time tracking system is subject to capacity constraints in terms of how many measurements or tracks that can be processed per unit time. This paper addresses the problem of selecting which measurements or tracks should be discarded to maximize the expected number of targets of interest being both tracked and correctly ...

Influences of ballast degradation on railway track buckling

Engineering Failure Analysis, 2021
Abstract Presently, railway track buckling, caused by extreme heat, is a serious issue that causes a huge loss of assets in railway systems. The increase in rail temperature can induce a compression force in the continuous welded rail (CWR) and this may cause track buckling when the compression force reaches the buckling strength.

Track assignment considering crosstalk-induced performance degradation

2012 IEEE 30th International Conference on Computer Design (ICCD), 2012
Track assignment is a critical step between global routing and detailed routing in modern VLSI chip designs. Crosstalk, which is largely decided by wire adjacency, has significant impact on interconnect delay and circuit performance. Therefore, the amount of crosstalk should be restrained in order to satisfy timing constraints.

Degradation and Isotope Source Tracking of Glyphosate and Aminomethylphosphonic Acid

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2016
Glyphosate [N-(phosphonomethyl) glycine], an active ingredient of the herbicide Roundup, and its main metabolite, aminomethylphosphonic acid (AMPA), have been frequently reported to be present in soils and other environments and thus have heightened public concerns on their potential adverse effects.

Statistical Degradation Analysis for Real-Time Tracking in Severely Degraded Videos

2017
Recently, Correlation Filter have been widely applied in object tracking, by combining different features, correlation filter based methods can robustly track the target in various situations like illumination change, target deformation, motion blur and camera defocus. However, those methods can hardly deal with non-uniform degradations. In this paper,

Degradation and Leaching of Fluroxypyr after Application to Railway Tracks

Journal of Environmental Quality, 2012
Fluroxypyr is an auxin-type herbicide used for postemergent control of broad-leaved weeds in agriculture and in nonagricultural environments such as railways. The overall aim of this study was to assess the potential environmental impact from fluroxypyr application to railway tracks and to elucidate some of the factors that control its environmental ...

Structured Degradation Model for Object Tracking in Non-uniform Degraded Videos

2016
Structure information is a hot spot currently in the domain of computer vision. As many people had applied structure information to their method, few people employed degradation information to their algorithm. However the degradation itself contains some important information.

A Dynamic Vehicle-Track Interaction Model for Predicting the Track Degradation Process

Journal of Infrastructure Systems, 2014
Due to the repeated passage of trains, differential settlements are observed in the vertical direction of the railway tracks. These settlements depend on the platform quality, on the train speed, on the dynamic load, and on the track structural behavior. In recent years, several authors have defined laws and models for the prediction of settlement. The

Analysis of crane track degradation due to operation

Engineering Failure Analysis, 2016
Abstract This paper describes a professional verification of crane track beams, determination of residual durability of selected beams and suggestion of necessary measures with regard to possibility of future operation of the whole crane track. The most seriously loaded beams in one of metallurgical plants were analysed. In this paper the problems of
