Path tracking control for Dubin's cars

Proceedings of IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2002
The problem of driving a Dubin's car (1957) along a given path is considered. In order to model a realistic road-following problem, the car is supposed to move forward only and to have bounds on the turning radius (Dubin's car). We propose a discontinuous control scheme on the angular velocity of the vehicle, based on the theory of sliding modes, that ...

Path tracking with IGPS

2010 International Conference on Indoor Positioning and Indoor Navigation, 2010
iGPS technology is a laser-based indoor system with optical sensors and transmitters to determine the 3D/4D position of static or moving objects. The technology is based on internal time measurements related to spatial rays that intersect at sensors in the measuring volume.

Agricultural robot path tracking based on predictable path

2010 International Conference on Networking and Digital Society, 2010
In order to realize the path tracking of agricultural robot in complex farmland environment and improve its speed and accuracy, a kind of agricultural robot path tracking method based predictable path was put forward in this paper. The definition of predictable path and fitting were presented, the positioning principles and methods were described in ...

Path Tracking Control of Micro-Tracked Mobile Robot

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014
The positioning accuracy of tracked mobile robot is low because of sliding in steering process. Taking the micro-tracked mobile robot as the platform, the interface force between tracks and ground was analyzed, and the motor model, kinematic model and dynamic model were established further.

Tracking weather's flight path

IEEE Spectrum, 2000
Prototypes of systems for helping pilots and air traffic controllers cope better with untoward weather are jockeying for a place aboard critical test flights and in air traffic control and dispatch facilities on the ground. The prototypes are the products of a burst of research in technologies for detecting turbulence in all its varieties, predicting ...

Optimal Path Tracking

2019
This chapter discusses the important task of optimal path tracking, i.e. situations where the path of the is prescribed while its EE trajectory is not. Therein, joint space and work space path tracking approaches are distinguished, cf. Section 5.1 and Section 5.2, respectively.

Tracking and path control

IRE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1959
Problems and possible methods of controlling the path of a vehicle in free space are discussed. Difficulties in determining and relaying the vehicle's position are given particular attention. There are no plans for publishing this discussion.

Path Tracking using WKB Approximation

1992 American Control Conference, 1992
This paper introduces a new approach for robot path tracking based on the WKB approximate analytical solution of time-varying ordinary differential equations. An open-loop control is chosen for the system and an expression is obtained for the linearized perturbation dynamics around the nominal trajectory corresponding to the open-loop control.

Path Tracking Automation of Articulated Vehicles

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1996
Abstract The problem of path tracking control for the class of articulated vehicles, in which the steering is performed by changing the articulation angle is studied. The analysis is based on the kinematics of motion, due to the fact that in the class of vehicles under study the speed of operation is relatively low and, as a result, as far as path ...
