Performance of displayed-marker-based position tracking

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Mechanical Design, Systems, and Manufacturing, 2018
This paper analyzes stability and tracking performance of displayed-marker-based position tracking on visual displays, such as an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), which have been utilized in several studies about computer-human interaction systems.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Analysis of Dynamic Tracking Characteristics of Dry Gas Seals During Start-Up Process

open access: yesLubricants
Based on the small perturbation method, the transient pressure control equation considering real gas effects was solved, and the fitting expression for the dynamic characteristic parameters of the gas film during the start-up process was obtained ...

Random walks colour histogram modification for human tracking

open access: yesIET Computer Vision, 2016
Accurate human tracking in surveillance scenes is one of the preliminary requirements for other tasks. However, when the human target is small, the extracted features may not be prominent and thus the tracking performance is unsatisfactory.

Kernalised Multi-resolution Convnet for Visual Tracking

open access: yes, 2017
Visual tracking is intrinsically a temporal problem. Discriminative Correlation Filters (DCF) have demonstrated excellent performance for high-speed generic visual object tracking.

Performing Real-Time Interactive Fiber Tracking [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Digital Imaging, 2010
Fiber tracking is a technique that, based on a diffusion tensor magnetic resonance imaging dataset, locates the fiber bundles in the human brain. Because it is a computationally expensive process, the interactivity of current fiber tracking tools is limited.

Targeting p38α in cancer: challenges, opportunities, and emerging strategies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
p38α normally regulates cellular stress responses and homeostasis and suppresses malignant transformation. In cancer, however, p38α is co‐opted to drive context‐dependent proliferation and dissemination. p38α also supports key functions in cells of the tumor microenvironment, including fibroblasts, myeloid cells, and T lymphocytes.

Nonlinear Receding-Horizon Control of Rigid Link Robot Manipulators

open access: yes, 2005
The approximate nonlinear receding-horizon control law is used to treat the trajectory tracking control problem of rigid link robot manipulators. The derived nonlinear predictive law uses a quadratic performance index of the predicted tracking error and ...
