Bilateral Tripping and Self-healing Scheme for Urban Rail Transit DC Traction Power Supply System Based on GOOSE Communication

open access: yesChengshi guidao jiaotong yanjiu
Objective The structure of DC (direct current) traction power supply system for urban rail transit is complex and without any backup power supply. Once a malfunction occurs, it may directly lead to a train-stopping accident.

Increase of energy efficiency of electric power distribution networks by adjustment of reactive energy consumption in a traction network

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
In the past few years, there has been a trend towards an increase in the volume of transportation by railway. At the same time, the load on the railway infrastructure increases, in particular, on the traction power supply system. It is necessary to solve

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Molecular Rotors: From Newtonian Fluids to Functional Materials as Viscosity and Temperature Sensing Tools

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Molecular rotors are fluorescent molecules that are sensitive to viscosity and temperature variations in the environment. They exhibit a direct correlation between fluorescence and viscosity within Newtonian fluids. However, this correlation becomes less straightforward in complex systems.
