Factored Notation for Interval I/O
This note addresses the input and output of intervals in the sense of interval arithmetic and interval constraints. The most obvious, and so far most widely used notation, for intervals has drawbacks that we remedy with a new notation that we propose to ...

Energy-delay bounds analysis in wireless multi-hop networks with unreliable radio links [PDF]
Energy efficiency and transmission delay are very important parameters for wireless multi-hop networks. Previous works that study energy efficiency and delay are based on the assumption of reliable links.

Early-life environment and differences in costs of reproduction in a preindustrial human population.
Reproduction is predicted to trade-off with long-term maternal survival, but the survival costs often vary between individuals, cohorts and populations, limiting our understanding of this trade-off, which is central to life-history theory.

Knowledge-based acquisition of tradeoff preferences of negotiating agents
A wide range of algorithms have been developed for various types of automated egotiation. In developing such algorithms the main focus has been on their efficiency and their effectiveness. However, this is only part of the picture.

A novel phthalocyanine (PC)‐based metal–organic framework (MOFs) is synthesized using ditopic PC linkers obtained through regioselective statistical condensation. The resulting MOF exhibits significant improvements in electronic absorption, thereby enhancing the material's performance in light harvesting and energy conversion.

Evolution of land use functions and their trade-offs/synergies relationship in resource-based cities
The industrialization of resource-based cities exerts a profound influence on their land system. The land use functions (LUFS), are concealed representation of this land system, can highlight issues in human-land relations.
