Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

HANDMADE EMBROIDERY PATTERN RECOGNITION: A NEW VALIDATED DATABASE
Patterns of handmade embroidery are an important part of the culture of a number of African people, particularly in Nigeria. The need to digitally document these patterns emerges in the context of its low patronage despite its quality and richness.

Some Directions beyond Traditional Quantum Secret Sharing
We investigate two directions beyond the traditional quantum secret sharing (QSS). First, a restriction on QSS that comes from the no-cloning theorem is that any pair of authorized sets in an access structure should overlap.

This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

The hedonic placebo effect of traditional medicines [PDF]
To date, the scientific evidence on traditional medicines is scant and under-developed, yet, paradoxically individuals continue to use it and claim high satisfaction levels. What can explain this effect? Using self-collected data from Ghana we argue that

Metallic single-electron transistor without traditional tunnel barriers
We report on a new type of single-electron transistor (SET) comprising two highly resistive Cr thin-film strips (~ 1um long) connecting a 1 um-long Al island to two Al outer electrodes.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Cascomp BJT Amplifier vs. traditional configurations [PDF]
All transistor circuits introduce distortion. In Radio Frequency (RF) circuits, the third-order distortion components are the most important. The quest for more linear circuits has become more important with complex-modulation as used in modern cellular ...
